Employee Benefits

Our people are among our greatest assets, and we're committed to providing a benefits package that meets the needs of our employees and reflects our success as a business.

Health and Medical Coverage
Comprehensive medical and dental coverage is provided at minimal cost to full-time employees. Employees may opt to purchase dependent coverage at minimal cost. Our health and dental plans allow employees to select providers both in and out of network. Coverage begins the first of the month after your date of hire.

Life Insurance and AD&D
Life insurance and AD&D are provided for full-time employees. Coverage equals two times the employee's annual salary.

Short-term Disability
In the event of short-term disability due to accident or illness, we provide a benefit that replaces two-thirds of the employee's annual salary. Coverage begins after a 14-day waiting period.

Long-term Disability
In the event of long-term disability, we provide a benefit that replaces 60% of the employee's annual salary. Coverage begins after short-term disability coverage ends.

Long-term Care
$2,000/month long term care facility benefit /50% professional home & community care for up to 3 years. Optional supplemental plans available.

Retirement 401(k) Plan
We provide a tax-deferred retirement savings plan, which allows employees to save from 1% to 15% of their salary per pay period. AlphaVax will contribute to your 401-k an amount equal to 100% of the first 3% of your compensation that you contribute to the plan and 50% of the next 2% of your compensation that you contribute to the Plan. Specific details of the plan can be found in the Plan Documents. The plan offers investment opportunities in 33 diverse funds.

Reimbursement Accounts
Reimbursement accounts are provided for employees to "save" additional money each pay period on a pre-tax basis to cover eligible out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses.

Vacation/Paid Time Off
Full-time employees earn 120 hours of vacation or paid time off each year, and add an additional day for each year of service up to a maximum of six weeks.

Sick Leave
Full-time employees accrue eight days of paid sick leave each year.

Holidays
We offer 11 paid holidays each year:

• New Years Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day and the day after
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving and the day after
• Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after
• One "floating holiday"
